For sale we have my 1997 Ford E250 Econoline Cargo Van. 6000 Miles on a new engine.
PRICE $5000.00
I was the second owner of this 1997 4.2L Econoline Van. It’s first life was hauling around stereo equipment for a custom radio shop. I then used it for a number of years as a mobile shop for my wood working business. At approximately 145,000 miles the engine seized due to a bad head gasket. This summer I had a $2000 engine with a warranty from (PowerTrainProducts a top rated seller of engines on Ebay with 100% customer satisfaction) installed and numerous other engine parts replaced.
New this year 2010:
- Complete engine with 4 year 1 million mile nationwide warranty. (I’ve used 3 months of the warranty and 5000 miles)
- Alternator.
- Additional oil cooler.
- New front rotors, brake calipers and brake pads.
- New battery.
- $800 of new tires (KUMHO Road Venture AT’s LT265/75 R16)
- New fluid in the rear Dana 60 differential.
- New fuel injectors.
- $300 worth of brand new Stereo equipment. Sony Stereo and Kenwood Speakers.
- Remote Start and Alarm.
- The entire engine compartment and every engine part were lovingly cleaned, polished and if they were in bad shape they were repaired or replaced.
I just drove this Van to Utah and back to Delaware over 11,000 foot high Mountain passes in Colorado. The engine is strong and the brakes are healthy. I would trust this van to drive cross country again with my family dozens of times before needing any maintenance. The heat and AC work great.
Items Needing Work:
- Currently This Van needs nothing, but there are a few items that could use a little TLC.
- The driver side seat has a few rips in the pleather.
- The rear quarter panel was dented and repaired five years ago. The repair was not perfect and there are some small rust spots.
- The exterior has a few minor dings and dents but this is a 12 year old work truck and as such it’s in better condition than most.
- The paint has seen a few different adhesive logos on the sides over they years. In the right lighting you can sometimes make out some of the old words. A good waxing will hide most of it.
- There is a small crack in the left rear break light fixture.
SOLAR PANELS on the roof are NOT Included, they were a great addition for camping.
Custom Rear Bumper NOT Included. I will reinstall and paint the original rear bumper.
Recently I did a ton of work on this van to prepare it for a family road trip across the country. The trip is now over and my wife says we don’t need the van sitting in the yard any longer so I am regretfully putting it up for sale.
The van currently lives in Southern Delaware. It is available to be test driven seven days a week.
